ABOUT ST LEONARDS AND THE BELLARINE PENINSULA

Picture
St Leonards is one of the stunning areas on Victoria's beautiful Bellarine Peninsula. Originally founded as a source of firewood for Melbourne in 1855, the first hotel was then opened soon after in 1858. The town centre now boasts a supermarket, several eateries and cafes, retailers, the iconic pier and much, much more.

Golf courses: With traditional links, sand belt and tree-lined courses nearby, golfers of all standards will be spoilt for choice. Find out all about the local golf courses.

Wineries: Scotchmans Hill, Jack Rabbit and Bellarine Estate are just some of the fabulous wineries available nearby. Find out about all the local wineries or you can also join the famous Bellarine Taste Trail to sample the best local food and wine.

Fishing: You can get information on local fishing here, and if you are looking to do a tour or charter a boat we recommend using Queenscliff Fishing Charters and Scenic Tours.

South of the pier, Bluff Road follows the coastline passing by a foreshore caravan park, a jetty and boat ramp. Following Lower Bluff Road leads to shady picnic areas and the St Leonards Yacht Club where watercraft are launched from the grassed foreshore area and boat ramp.

For more details you can head to the Visit Geelong/Bellarine website and watch the below video to get some more ideas of the local area.
